Nowadays more and more people are using the Internet as their main source of information. If they require a service it is much easier and faster for them to do a quick search on the Internet than to go through the yellow pages or ask around. You need to make sure that those potential customers will be able to find you in their searches.
A website is your new 24/7 employee. If it is done the right way (i.e. the Snazzy way) it will attract the attention of your clients, answer most of their questions and convince them to use your services. And the best thing is that you can sit back and relax while your website does all this work for you. Advertising is of the utmost importance if you want your business to grow. A well designed website is basically an everlasting commercial message. All you have to do to keep it going is renew your website once a year but this cost is uncomparable to what you would have to pay in traditional media (TV, radio, newspapers).
Website design use to be expensive up until a few years ago because sites had to be built using code. This took considerable time. Modern software allows sites to be built much faster, we pass these savings on to you, simple as that.
Obviously this depends on the size of your site, but as a rule most sites have a working draft uploaded within 5 days, with the completed site usually ready in a week.
Every Snazzy Website comes with a Content Management System (CMS) you can edit the content of your website whenever you want using your web browser via the login button at the top of every page. It is as easy as editing a Word document with no programming skills required. If you wish not to use the CMS, we can change the content for you at our hourly rate of £25 per hour.
No catch at all - the published price is the price you pay (excluding VAT). Our happy experience is that Clients frequently recommend us to their friends and family, or business colleagues which brings in more business and keeps our advertising costs down.
We communicate by email or by phone (and we have a local rate number for your convenience) or you can Skype us using the user name snazzywebsite. We pride ourselves in prompt communication - often by immediate return (between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday) - so you can feel confident that you will receive the best of attention.
All sites hosted by Snazzy Website provide webmail access to your email so that you can access your mail when away from the office or on holiday. If your site is not hosted by us then this will depend on your hosting company.
We optimise all sites as far as possible to perform well, however this process (known as optimisation) is not an exact science and we can make no specific guarantees. Search engines rely on plenty of well written content to index pages and small sites by their nature, will struggle to compete against larger more frequently updated sites if they have insufficient content. Snazzy Website will advise if your content is too small to be effective.
New sites are indexed by the search engines through a process known as spidering ie they move from site to site by following hyperlinks. All new sites are added to our examples pages to aid the process. As an established site regularly visited by search engines this will help your site be found in its early days on the web.

Images, as well as all other link to files that exist on your website, should be root-relative. That is, precede them with a forward slash (/) and include the full path to the file from the website root. Please call us if you need assistance.
If you’re experiencing one or more of the following issues, chances are your website root is not set correctly.
• My webpages are showing up with the wrong URLs
• I get a 404 error when I try to preview my webpages
• The file manager doesn’t generate the correct path to my images and other files
How Do I Fix This?
Verify that the website root is correct. If you update the website root, make sure you reenable each webpage before editing.
Your website root is the directory (“folder”) on your web server that contains the homepage of your website. The website root will most likely not be the same for FTP and SFTP. The Snazzy CMS has a built-in directory browser that you can use to browse to your website root. Make sure you always select the folder that contains your homepage so the CMS can properly map URLs.
If your webpages displays  or other strange characters after publishing, there is an issue with your character encoding. Most likely, it is set to ISO-8859-1 instead of UTF-8.
The CMS outputs characters in the versatile UTF-8 format and, as a result, other encodings will usually cause erroneous characters to appear throughout your webpages. This is very easy to correct, simply make sure your pages are set to UTF-8.

If your webpages aren’t publishing properly, check for nested editable tags and/or invalid elements. Does your page validate? Almost every time we come across a publishing issue, this is the cause.
If there are a significant number of validation errors on your page, you might consider trying our built-in HTML Tidy tool. This tool will attempt to repair your markup without hindering the appearance of your page. Remember to make a backup of your page before running Tidy, as changes made using this tool will not be saved in your webpage history.
To run Tidy, select Edit Content Regions » Repair with Tidy from within the webpage editor.
This sometimes happens when content has been copied and pasted from Microsoft Word or other similar applications. Try removing the special character(s) from the webpage or simply replace them with their Unicode equivalent or an appropriate HTML entity and then upload the file back to your web server.
If you do this and the content gets truncated again, but at a different location, repeat what you just did and try editing again. If a document has more than one characters that the editor can’t read, this may occur a number of times until all of the invalid characters have been removed.
For best results, always ensure that the content you are copying is formatted using UTF-8 character encoding.
